Hold/Reservation Services

This service allows library users to request materials that are currently on loan or located at other library locations/branches. Our goal is to ensure equitable access to high-demand resources.

  • Placing Holds: Patrons can place holds on items through the library’s online catalog or in person at the Circulation Desk.
  • Notification: Once the item is returned or becomes available, the patron receives an email notification with a timeframe to pick up the item.
  • Reserved Shelf: Held items are placed on a designated Hold Shelf and are kept for a limited period (usually 3–5 days) for pickup.
